Question:  Where is my data stored?
Answer:  With FestiveWare.net, each organization is provided with a private database in Microsoft SQL server.  If you purchase FestiveWare for installation at your organization, you must also have Microsoft SQL Server.

Q.  Can I try the system for FREE?
A.  Yes. A full working version is available to test online. All we ask is for you to first participate in an on-line demonstration that we conduct with you using WebEx.

Q.  Can data from my current system be converted to FestiveWare?
A.  YES. We can convert your data for a reasonable price.

Q.  Am I able to access my database directly?
A.  When using FestiveWare.net, we do not allow direct access to databases for security reasons.  We can send you the latest backup version of your data on CD. If you purchase FestiveWare for installation at your organization, then you have access to your database.

Q.  How fast can I get started?
A.  Assuming no data conversion, we can have you up and running within 48 hours after we receive payment.

Q.  What type of Internet connection is necessary to use FestiveWare.net?
A.  Ideal connection speed for top performance is 128k ISDN or better, but the system is still very functional at 56k.

A.  Of course. New users may be added at any time.

A.  Yes, intensive instructor-led training is available on the system either in-person or remotely using WebEx.

A.  Yes. The export wizard lets you export contact data in CSV format.

A.  Yes. Permissions are based on categories. You can create categories of staff and assign permissions to the categories.

A.  One month! You are committed to no more than the minimum users (1) and the setup fee.

Q.  Is FestiveWare scalable?
A.  Yes. FestiveWare is a web application designed specifically to accommodate many users.  The software requires Microsoft Windows 2000 Server or later and Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 or later.

Q.  Can I accept payments from customers online?
A.  Yes. If you already have a merchant account that allows you to process Internet purchases, we can set you up in a few days. If you do not, we will assist you with finding a processor that will provide you this ability.

Q.  Does customer service cost extra?
A.  Depends. For FestiveWare.net users, customer service is included in the monthly fees.  If you purchase FestiveWare for installation at your organization, customer service is included for 1 year and renewable thereafter.

A.  Yes. We will write custom reports you request for a reasonable hourly fee.

Q.  How long has FestiveWare been around?
A.  Oak Tree Systems introduced its first Festival Management System in 1994.  The product was called FSYS™.  In 1999, FSYS was rewritten for the web and renamed MainEvent™.  The NET version of MainEvent, which is now FestiveWare.net, was launched in March 2004.  "Boomerang™" refers to the core engine technology that drives FestiveWare.
